CASE STUDY 3 – PECKHAM

We were instructed to provide Planning, Architectural and Project Management services to restore the fire-damaged timber-constructed Grade II listed property. The property comprises a mixture of ground-floor retail and first and second upper floor residential/storage units.

The works have comprised of replacement, repair, refurbishment, redecoration and removal of structural and non-structural building elements, using suitable traditional materials and workmanship style. At the same time, works were undertaken to upgrade the property fabric, ventilation and structure.

As part of our services, we have undertaken a variety of tasks including:

  • Initial consultation with the Client to discuss the project brief.
  • Liaising with the planning officer and Listed conservation officer.
  • Undertaken a site visit and prepared a Specification of Works.
  • Prepared and submitted the Tender documentation.
  • We have undertaken Tender Analysis and recommended the most suitable Contractor whilst agreeing the settlement figure from the insurance company.
  • Liaised with all other relevant parties including a Heritage Officer, Building Control Inspector and a Structural Engineer.
  • We have undertaken regular site visits to monitor progress, ensuring smooth running of the project.
  • Issuing interim certificates.
  • Prepared and issued a final certificate of completion.
